What you should always have in the Baby Bag.

Today the girls and I decided to go on a hiking adventure! With it being so hot still, we might as well take advantage of it before the cold snowy weather arrives.

I love being outdoors, smelling the fresh air and watching Lily explore. She has a huge fascination with sticks and being able to hear the birds. Even though it got a little hot near the end it’s always worth it. Isla just kind of sat there and watched me. I’m more interesting than nature.

When going out with kids you always have to bring the baby bag. Besides the essentials like diapers, wipes and snacks. Here are some other things you should always have in the bottom of your bag.

Medicine for both kids. Honestly you never know when a fever may hit or teething symptoms. Sometimes you far from home and instead of waiting and making your child suffer, and your anxiety going up. It’s nice to have it right there. I usually have Tylenol for Isla, Motrin for Lily and Benadryl for both kids. Kids are young and being exposed to so many new things, you never know when a reaction will hit. A big note with this paragraph is to make sure you have all the tools to administer the doses.

Bandaids and Polysporin for those bumps and cuts that can happen. If your child is like my wild toddler, you go through a lot of bandaids.

Nail Clippers are handy for babies. There have been times when we have been out and my little one scratched herself, and I realize I forgot to clip her nails earlier.

Nasal Aspirator for your little one just incase you have a booger show. From crying or teething symptoms.

Hair Elastics for yourself and your little girls hair. Just incase you’re having so much fun and some hair needs to be dealt with.

Snacks for you! This is a biggie. I don’t know how many times I’ve been out with the kids and started to get hungry. I try really hard to avoid buying food while I’m out so I always make sure to pack a granola bars and nuts as a just incase for myself.

Extra snacks for the kids. There have been times where we have rushed out of the house, five minutes into the drive and I hear “Momma I’m hungry”. Love Child Organic Granola bars are amazing to have on hand. No artificial sugar, organic and no GMO’s.

A bottle of water, even though you will probably pack one for you or the kids. It’s helpful to have an extra bottle just incase. I don’t know how many times Lily has asked for water, I look back at her and she drank the whole thing!

You will have wipes on hand, but I like Kleenex in the baby bag because they are a dry wipe. My girls have sensitive skin and I find even hypoallergenic wipes cause their face to go red.

Extra outfits for both kids. Messes can happen and it’s nice to have a change a clothes so they don’t stay dirty or stinky. For my toddler I always have a shirt, pants and two pairs of underwear. For my youngest just one outfit.

And in the summer time. Sunscreen!

So many things, I know! But they make all the difference when you’re out and about with the kids.
