The First 30 minutes of my Morning

I always thought I was productive till I had my first child. Was that a wake up call! Before kids I just didn’t have that much to do. Laundry was minimal, we lived in a small apartment which took little time to clean.

Now my laundry pile is never ending. I wash my floors and ten minutes later something has been spilt and I can’t even get started on the dishes.

For the past year though I’ve made a goal to do the same morning routine to help get my day started right. To increase productivity it’s best to do things that involve your house, your health and a little bit of self care. It’s gives you a sense of accomplishment it many different aspects.

First thing after I get my kids out of bed is to drink a minimum sixteen ounces of water. There are so many benefits to drinking water in the morning. Increase metabolism, get you on track with your hydration and so many other positives.

Make a coffee, coffee is a must every morning. I make my bullet proof coffee to give me some nutrients, healthy fats and caffeine to really get my day started.

I deal with the dishwasher while my girls are eating breakfast. Whether it’s filling it with dirty dishes or emptying the clean ones. This really helps me stay on top of the kitchen throughout the day.

Throw in a load of laundry. Like I mentioned up top, dirty clothes are in endless in our house. Both my girls go through atleast two outfit changes a day. By doing one load of laundry I’m ensuring that I will always have clean clothes for them. I will admit I’m not very good at keeping on top of the folding. That’s a goal I’m slowly working on now.

Honestly doing these four things have increase my productivity drastically. And makes me feel already successful about my day before eight am. Even if I don’t get to anything else for the rest of the day.

Try these four things every morning for a week and see how your productivity changes!
