Product Review: The Body Shop Vitamin C – Glow Boosting Microdermabrasion

The past couple of years, my need for exfoliation has increased dramatically. I find aging skin, exposed to the elements. Plus my larger pores leave my skin looking quite dull some days. Umm… no thanks!

Exfoliation is not just great for removing dead skin cells, it helps with complexion leaving an even skin tone. Great for circulation and clearing out pores, reducing blemishes. Since my teenage years I’ve battled milia. White, clogged pores that have to be clinically removed. To help prevent these, I exfoliate daily!

My go-to is The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion Facial Scrub. It’s fine particles and crushed garnet stones are what helps remove dead skin cells. What I love most about this product is how fine the exfoliants are. After each use, my skin feels smooth, soft and replenished, but not beaten to death by needles. Nothing I hate more than an aggressive exfoliation that leaves you bright red for hours.

The Vitamin C aspect, from the camu camu berry is a bonus. Vitamin C is known to help collagen production. Great for those fine lines and wrinkles. Also the light orange scent is beautiful. It’s not strong, very subtle. Another dislike of mine, is strong scents in skin products.

This exfoliant is great for multiple uses during the week. But for those who have sensitive skin I would only use 1-2 times a week. Due to its Microdermabrasion style of exfoliation. It could cause irritation with excessive use.

Simple apply to a wet face with warm water. Gently rub the exfoliate on to your face. I rub upwards, with circles around my eyes. Then rinse. I prefer to use this after I have washed my face with a cleanser if I had makeup on.

So easy to use, and produces amazing results! Definitely check it out!
