Chocolate Peanut Butter Avocado Mousse

Are you loving this Autumn weather? Nothing better than cooler crisp air and sweaters! The other day it felt extra cold because of the rain. Leaving us snuggled up on the couch watching a movie. Cue the kids asking for a snack. I felt like making an extra special, yummy treat for them.

This recipe is easy and it’s pretty much just a traditional avocado pudding with some delicious whipped cream. If you don’t eat dairy, no need to worry! You can use Natrel Lactose Free Whipping Cream. This is what I use and it still makes stiff peaks when whipped. I like to buy the carton of liquid whipping cream because cans and other products contain sugar. Carton whipping cream has zero. Making this a refined sugar free dessert!

To really boost the flavour I love to add peanut butter. You can actually add any nut butter you want: almond, cashew etc. My kids LOVE Peanut Butter, so that’s the main choice in our house.

The best part of this dessert it how easy it is to make. Blend it all together and voila! Plus a bit of folding, but seriously so easy. And who ever eats it will think you spent your whole afternoon making it! Plus it’s a great way to use those ripe avocados. And YES! They have to be very ripe or the avocado flavour will really come through. Some brown spots are ok! If they are not very ripe, you might need to add more cacao powder and maple syrup.

Ok I’ll stop writing and you start making this amazing treat!
